Howdy!

I'm an interdisciplinary artist who works in drawing, painting, printmaking, and design. I feel equally at home in a crowded nightclub as I do in the complete isolation of a desert canyon.
I'm captivated by immediacy and spontaneity, generating much of my images from memory and intuition. I explore different strategies of integrating the body into concrete and gestural environments. Occasionally there are rough suggestions of narrative, but I’m committed to retaining enough ambiguity to allow for wide-ranging interpretations. I feel my work is successful when it encompasses and communicates a particular moment of expression. Often I find myself making work that feels pensive and introspective, sometimes dreamlike or associative.

I was raised in Salt Lake City, Utah and studied art at St. Olaf College in Minnesota. In addition to my own work, I've had the pleasure of printing posters, developing social media brands, creating advertising, and designing books.
